YIO est une installation interactive musicale. YIO est une immersion dans la composition. YIO est aussi un instrument, une intelligence artificielle musicale, un automate. Ce dispositif collaboratif offre, à tous les participants souhaitant explorer leurs talents cachés, un voyage sensoriel à travers le champs des possibles d’une multitude d’algorithmes. Grâce aux capteurs qui s’adaptent au nombre d’utilisateurs, le geste du participant devient une note, une émotion, une vague mélodieuse ; et l’ensemble de ces notes forment un paysage à la fois sonore et visuel.
Chaque point de captation est régi par une suite d’algorithmes, de rythmes et divers instruments (Voix—Corde—Vent—Cuivre—Percussions). Ces algorithmes suivent les mouvements des visiteurs en temps réel et les transforment en mélodies qui se meuvent dans l’harmonie . La fusion entre la musique, la robotique, la danse, et la programmation transforme le public néophyte en musicien, chef d’orchestre, arrangeur émérite : une expérience ludique — participative — thérapeutique — inoubliable, à partager avec le plus grand nombre.

YIO proposes a sensory odyssey through a three-dimensional ocean of sound and visual algorithms. The movements of each visitor explore space, and each point of this space is associated with one (or more) orchestra instrument(s), thus creating a harmonious interaction between multiple simultaneous melodies. YIO is an interactive music installation. YIO is an immersion in orchestral composition. YIO is also a musical instrument, an artificial intelligence, an automaton, a collaborative device that offers all participants, wishing to explore their hidden talents, a sensory journey through the ocean of algorithms. Thanks to sensors that adapt to the number of users, the gesture of the participant becomes a note, an emotion, a melodious wave; and all these notes form a landscape both sound and visual.
Each sensor is governed by a sequence of algorithms, rhythms and various instruments. These algorithms follow the movements of visitors in real-time and transform them into melodies that flow in harmony. The fusion of music, robotics, dance and programming transforms any neophyte into a musician, conductor and arranger: a playful, participative, therapeutic and unforgettable experience, to be shared with as many people as possible.
